Your CompTIA certification is good for three years from the date you pass your certification exam. Through our continuing education program, you can easily renew CompTIA and extend it for additional three-year periods.

You may take a CompTIA Certification Exam either online or in-person. Online testing offers you the ease and convenience to test for your certification from any quiet, distraction-free and secure location at any time. CompTIA In-person Testing provides you with testing options at New Horizons Test center or any of the Pearson VUE test centers located around the world.

Our robust schedule of exam prep courses for the CompTIA Security+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ and Cysa+ certifications makes it easy for you to prepare for and take each certification exam.

The preparation guides are a great tool to help you determine whether you are ready to take the exam. Read each objective covered on the exam and ask yourself whether you have a strong understanding of what is being covered. You can also play the Are You Certifiable game that acts like a practice exam to test your readiness.

If you are unable to pass the exam, then you must wait 14 days before becoming eligible to retake the exam. Until you pass the test, there is no limit to the number of exam attempts. But, for each re-attempt, you must pay the full registration price fee. Also, the Beta exam test-takers will get one attempt only.
