About this role
As a Networking & Security Instructor, you will deliver combined training in network administration and information security, preparing students for industry-recognized CompTIA and Cisco certifications. The curriculum spans routing and switching, wireless networking, firewalls, threat detection, and security best practices, giving students both the networking foundation and the security awareness employers look for.

Responsibilities
- 01Deliver training aligned to CompTIA (Network+, Security+) and Cisco (CCNA) certification objectives
- 02Teach routing, switching, subnetting, and wireless network configuration
- 03Cover security fundamentals: firewalls, threat detection, access control, and incident response basics
- 04Guide students through hands-on lab exercises using real or simulated network equipment
- 05Prepare students for CompTIA and Cisco certification exams
- 06Assess student progress through labs, quizzes, and practical exams
- 07Maintain instructional facilities used for training and ensure the safety of students
- 08Research and recommend learning systems
- 09Conduct specific training for the trainee
- 10Give projects to students to test what has been learned
- 11Evaluate the effectiveness of each training session

Requirements
- 01Minimum 2 years of professional networking or security experience
- 02CompTIA Network+/Security+ and/or Cisco CCNA certification
- 03Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls
- 04Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and core security principles
- 05Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- 06BSc/HND in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or its equivalent
- 07Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript)
- 08Graphics skills will be an added advantage (Photoshop or CorelDraw)
- 09Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 10Good organization and multi-tasking abilities
- 11Post NYSC experience in teaching will be an added advantage

Qualifications
- 01Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 02CompTIA or Cisco certification required
- 03Teaching or lab instruction experience preferred
